This is a highly detailed miniature of a Baby Peryton.

This model was created by M3DM who makes amazingly accurate models of Dungeons & Dragons creatures and is provided by Commercial License.

A Baby Peryton in Dungeons & Dragons is a young version of the peryton, a monstrous hybrid creature with the body of a stag and the wings and head of an eagle. Known for their predatory nature, perytons are dangerous aerial hunters. Baby perytons, while still formidable, are much smaller and less experienced than their adult counterparts. They resemble a smaller, less developed version of their parents, with a bird-like head and the legs of a stag, but they may lack the fully functional wings or the aggressive hunting instincts that mature perytons have.

In terms of behavior, baby perytons are more vulnerable and rely on their parents for protection and feeding. They are not yet capable of flight, and their hunting skills are underdeveloped. They are often raised in nests high in mountains or secluded forested areas, where they are kept safe from other predators.

Despite their youth, baby perytons are still dangerous, as they inherit their parents' keen predatory instincts. However, their small size and relative inexperience make them less of an immediate threat compared to fully grown perytons, who are known for their bloodthirsty nature and ability to bring down larger prey.

Encounters with baby perytons are rare, as they are usually well-guarded by their parents. They may attack out of self-defense if threatened, but they are typically not as relentless or cunning as adults. Nonetheless, they still make for challenging opponents, especially if they are protecting their nest or territory. Baby perytons are often seen as a potential threat that adventurers might encounter if they are too close to the nest or in a territory claimed by a peryton family.
