In Dungeons & Dragons, an imp is a tiny fiendish creature native to the Nine Hells, typically serving as a familiar or minion to more powerful devils or spellcasters. Imps are cunning, malevolent, and manipulative, often acting as spies, messengers, or saboteurs.
