This is a Highly detailed miniature of a Mud Mephit.

This model was created by Schlossbauer who makes amazingly accurate models of the Monster Manual creatures and provided by Commercial Licence.

A Mud Mephit in Dungeons & Dragons is a small elemental creature formed from a mix of earth and water. Like other mephits, it originates from the Elemental Planes—in this case, a convergence of the Planes of Earth and Water—and embodies both the personality and physical characteristics of the substance it’s composed from. Mud Mephits are often described as squat, dirty, winged imps with thick, slimy bodies coated in sludge. Their appearance is as unpleasant as their demeanor: petty, messy, and fond of spreading filth wherever they go. They have a malicious streak and enjoy frustrating others with their stubbornness and childish pranks.

Despite their small size and relatively low challenge rating, Mud Mephits can be annoying opponents in combat. They can exhale a puff of stinking mud that can blind and distract their enemies, hampering attacks and defense. Their physical attacks aren’t particularly deadly, but their ability to create difficult terrain or obscure vision with mud can shift the tide of battle by slowing down or disorienting opponents. If destroyed, they explode in a splash of foul muck, further inconveniencing those nearby.

What makes Mud Mephits particularly notable is their innate love of disorder and filth. They aren’t mindless—they speak their own dialect of Terran and Aquan, and many can speak Common as well—but they aren’t particularly clever either. They serve stronger creatures, especially powerful earth or water elementals or spellcasters who summon them for menial tasks or as expendable guardians. Left to their own devices, they might inhabit swamps, bogs, or polluted canals, reveling in the mire and occasionally tormenting travelers.

As minor elemental beings, Mud Mephits represent more than just a physical challenge; they serve as a thematic reminder that even the smallest creatures from the elemental planes can have disruptive power when underestimated or provoked.
