A Cavapoo is a popular hybrid dog breed that results from crossing a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel with a Poodle (usually a Miniature or Toy Poodle). Sometimes also called a Cavoodle, this crossbreed has become especially well-loved for its friendly nature, intelligence, and appealing appearance.

Cavapoos tend to inherit the affectionate and gentle temperament of the Cavalier, combined with the cleverness and low-shedding coat of the Poodle. They are typically small to medium-sized dogs, often weighing between 9–25 pounds (4–11 kg) and standing about 9–14 inches (23–35 cm) tall at the shoulder, though their size depends on whether the Poodle parent was Toy or Miniature.

Their coats can vary, ranging from wavy to curly, and they often come in colors like cream, apricot, chestnut, black, or tricolor mixes. Because of their Poodle heritage, Cavapoos are considered more hypoallergenic than many breeds, though no dog is truly 100% hypoallergenic. Regular grooming is important, as their coat can mat if not brushed often.

Cavapoos are known for being sociable, affectionate, and eager to please. They usually get along very well with children and other pets, making them a popular choice for families. Their intelligence makes them relatively easy to train, though they may inherit a stubborn streak from the Cavalier side.
