This is a highly detailed miniature of a Deathclaw.
This model was created by Crossel who makes amazingly accurate models of the Monster Manual creatures and provided by kind permission.
A Deathclaw in Dungeons & Dragons is a nightmarish apex predator born of arcane corruption and primal savagery. Towering over most humanoids, it combines the hunched posture of a great reptile with the sinewed musculature of a demon-hound. Its elongated skull bristles with jagged horns and ridged bone plating, while a maw of serrated teeth drips with venomous saliva. Thick scales and knotted hide armor its body, and each forelimb ends in scythe-like talons capable of carving through steel and stone alike.
Deathclaws are often the byproduct of failed magical experiments, demonic breeding rituals, or ancient curses placed upon entire bloodlines of predatory beasts. Some sages claim they are twisted descendants of draconic stock, stripped of wings and higher intellect but retaining their relentless territorial instinct. They dwell in blasted wastelands, cursed forests, or abandoned strongholds where magic has warped the land beyond recognition.
Mechanically, a Deathclaw would function as a high-Challenge Rating monstrosity with exceptional Strength and Dexterity. It possesses multiattack, striking with both claws and a devastating bite. Its claws might deal slashing damage with a bleed effect, forcing Constitution saving throws to avoid ongoing damage. Thick natural armor grants it a high Armor Class, and it may have resistance to nonmagical weapons. Some variants gain a terrifying roar that forces creatures within range to make a Wisdom saving throw or become frightened.
Unlike mindless beasts, a Deathclaw demonstrates cunning. It stalks prey, isolates the weakest target, and uses terrain to its advantage. Ambush tactics are common; it strikes from shadowed ruins or dense undergrowth with explosive speed. Once engaged, it fights with brutal persistence, rarely retreating unless gravely wounded.
Encountering a Deathclaw is less a battle and more a trial of survival. It is not merely a monster—it is the embodiment of predatory inevitability, a living blade of fang and talon in a world already fraught with danger.
This model is 75mm tall at 32mm scale.
