This is a highly detailed miniature of a Gazebo.

This model was created by M3DM who makes amazingly accurate models of Dungeons & Dragons creatures and is provided by Commercial License.

In Dungeons & Dragons, the term "gazebo" is famous due to a humorous anecdote from early D&D history. The story involves a player, Eric Sorensen, who encountered a gazebo in-game and, not knowing what it was, assumed it was a monster. When the Dungeon Master, Gary Gygax’s friend Paul, described a "large, white gazebo," Eric declared he would shoot it with his bow. The DM, puzzled, told him there was no reaction. The player insisted on attacking, eventually asking if the gazebo would attack back. Frustrated, the DM exclaimed, "It’s a gazebo, Eric!" only for the player to admit, "Oh… what’s a gazebo?" The table burst into laughter, and the tale became a legendary example of misunderstandings in role-playing games.

Since then, the gazebo has become a running joke in D&D, sometimes portrayed as a mimic, a deadly animated structure, or a legendary monster lurking in gardens. Some game masters introduce “Dire Gazebos” or cursed ones that devour adventurers who sit within them. Though not originally a D&D creature, its legacy has influenced homebrew content and pop culture references.

In actual architectural terms, a gazebo is a freestanding, roofed structure found in gardens, typically used for shade or relaxation. But in D&D, thanks to the classic misunderstanding, it has become a comedic symbol of players overanalyzing descriptions or misinterpreting mundane objects as threats.
