This is a highly detailed miniature of a Goblin Rogue.

A Goblin Rogue in Dungeons and Dragons is a creature of shadows, sharp instincts, and opportunistic cruelty, perfectly suited to a life of ambush, theft, and sudden violence. Where other goblins rely on noise and numbers, the rogue prefers silence and surprise, striking from concealment with unnerving precision. Small and easily overlooked, a goblin rogue turns its size into an advantage, slipping through gaps, clinging to darkness, and vanishing before retaliation can come.
Physically, the goblin rogue is lean and agile, with quick hands and sharper eyes than most of its kin. Its movements are low and deliberate, every step placed with care to avoid sound. Clothing is practical and close-fitting, often a hooded cloak, light leathers, and belts filled with knives, lockpicks, or stolen trinkets. Nothing is worn for decoration alone; every strap, buckle, and pouch serves a purpose. Its ever-present grin is subtler than that of other goblins, suggesting calculation rather than chaos.
Mentally, goblin rogues are patient by goblin standards and intensely self-interested. They value leverage, secrets, and escape routes above all else. While still mischievous and cruel, their cruelty is focused, used to exploit weaknesses rather than indulge in pointless destruction. They learn quickly from success and failure, adapting tactics with impressive speed. Loyalty is rare and conditional, maintained only as long as it remains beneficial.
In combat, a Goblin Rogue excels at ambush and disruption. It favors hit-and-run tactics, striking vulnerable targets before melting back into cover. Flanking, poisons, traps, and environmental hazards are all tools of choice. A goblin rogue avoids prolonged fights, knowing that survival is victory enough. When cornered, it fights viciously and without honor, using every dirty trick available to escape.
Within a campaign, a Goblin Rogue can be a deadly scout, assassin, or thief, serving as a recurring antagonist who always seems to slip away at the last moment. As an ally, it is useful but never fully trustworthy, constantly weighing profit against risk. The goblin rogue embodies cunning over strength, proving that in the right hands, subtlety can be far more dangerous than brute force.
