This is a Highly detailed miniature of a Mothula for Dungeons & Dragons.

This model was created by Schlossbauer who makes amazingly accurate models of the Monster Manual creatures and provided by Commercial Licence.

In Dungeons & Dragons, a Mothula is a creature that originates from the plane of Shadow. These eerie entities manifest as large, moth-like beings with translucent wings that shimmer with an otherworldly glow. Mothulas are typically encountered in dark, shadowy environments such as haunted forests, abandoned ruins, or within the depths of underground caverns.

Physically, Mothulas resemble giant moths, but their appearance is far from mundane. Their bodies are covered in soft, velvety fur, usually in shades of dark purple, black, or deep blue. Their eyes glow with an eerie light, reflecting their connection to the Shadow Plane. Despite their ethereal appearance, Mothulas are formidable predators, possessing sharp mandibles and a potent array of magical abilities.

One of the most distinctive features of Mothulas is their ability to manipulate shadows to their advantage. They can cloak themselves in darkness, rendering them nearly invisible to the untrained eye. This makes them incredibly adept at ambushes, striking from the shadows with deadly precision. Additionally, Mothulas can summon forth tendrils of shadow to ensnare their prey, immobilizing them while they move in for the kill.

In combat, Mothulas rely on their agility and magical abilities to outmaneuver and overwhelm their opponents. They can unleash blasts of shadow energy, draining the life force from their victims and bolstering their own strength. Some Mothulas can even summon forth swarms of shadowy minions to aid them in battle, further complicating encounters with these creatures.

Despite their sinister nature, Mothulas are not inherently evil. Like many creatures of the Shadow Plane, they are driven by primal instincts and survival instincts. However, their affinity for darkness and their predatory nature often bring them into conflict with adventurers who stumble into their domain, making them a dangerous and unpredictable foe to face in the world of Dungeons & Dragons.
