Rather than passing into the afterlife, the forest’s animating spirit fractures and reforms as a wraith bound to decay, resentment, and territorial fury.

This entity appears as a semi-corporeal silhouette shaped like twisted bark and drifting shadow, its form threaded with ghostly roots and drifting spores of negative energy. Its presence chills the air, wilts living plants, and causes leaves to blacken and crumble as if centuries of rot pass in moments. A Necrotic Forest Wraith is not mindlessly hostile. It is driven by a warped instinct to “protect” its domain, interpreting any intrusion as further violation.
