This is a highly detailed miniature of a Sharkenbear.

The Sharkenbear is a monstrous hybrid creature found in certain third-party Dungeons & Dragons supplements, particularly those with a whimsical or gonzo tone, such as the Tome of Beasts by Kobold Press or fan-created content inspired by over-the-top fantasy. As the name suggests, the Sharkenbear is a fusion of a bear and a shark, designed to evoke both fear and absurdity. It typically features the massive, muscled body and terrestrial power of a grizzly bear combined with the aquatic ferocity and toothy maw of a shark. Often depicted with rows of jagged teeth, a dorsal fin, and webbed paws or even full aquatic limbs, it blends land-based might with aquatic lethality.

In gameplay, the Sharkenbear is usually employed as a surprising and formidable encounter, especially in coastal or riverine regions where both land and water are accessible. It can serve as an apex predator in a strange or magically warped ecosystem, the result of arcane experiments or natural evolution gone wrong. Its presence challenges players to adapt to an enemy that can charge through forest underbrush and then dive effortlessly into the surf to continue an assault from beneath the waves.

Stat-wise, the Sharkenbear tends to have high Strength and Constitution, favoring brute-force attacks such as multiattack claw-and-bite routines. Some variants may include a “thrash” or “frenzied bite” ability, allowing it to deal massive damage when enraged. Depending on the source, it may also possess amphibious movement, a keen sense of smell or tremorsense, and resistance to cold or slashing damage due to its thick hide.

Narratively, it’s often used for comic horror or to emphasize the wild unpredictability of a magical world. Its bizarre design makes it memorable to players, and it often appears in campaigns where realism takes a backseat to spectacle and creativity.
