This is a Highly detailed miniature of a Spectator for Dungeons & Dragons.

This model was created by Schlossbauer who makes amazingly accurate models of the Monster Manual creatures and provided by Commercial Licence.

In Dungeons & Dragons (D&D), a Spectator is a unique type of magical creature, often summoned or created by powerful spellcasters to serve as guardians, sentinels, or custodians. Spectators are essentially smaller, less powerful versions of the Beholder, another iconic creature in D&D lore.

Physically, Spectators resemble Beholders but are smaller in size, typically about the size of a human. They have a spherical body with a single central eye and several smaller eye stalks protruding from around their central eye. These eye stalks each have a different magical ability, granting the Spectator a wide range of powers and capabilities.

While Beholders are known for their extreme paranoia and hostility, Spectators are generally more predictable and manageable. They are bound to serve the one who summoned or created them, typically through magical means, and will follow their orders diligently. However, they still possess a sense of their creator's intentions and may interpret their commands in unexpected ways.

Spectators are adept at guarding specific locations or objects, using their array of magical abilities to detect intruders, manipulate their environment, and defend against threats. They can cast spells such as charm person, confusion, and fear, making them formidable opponents for would-be adventurers.

Despite their loyalty to their summoner, Spectators are not mindless automatons and may develop their own personalities and quirks over time. Some may become bored or disillusioned with their assigned tasks, leading them to seek out entertainment or mischief in their surroundings.

Encountering a Spectator in a D&D campaign can lead to a variety of scenarios, from negotiating with them to gain access to a guarded location, to engaging in combat if their master's interests are threatened. Their combination of magical abilities and unique personalities adds depth and unpredictability to any adventure they're a part of.
