This is a Highly detailed miniature of a Stalfos for Dungeons & Dragons.

This model was created by Schlossbauer who makes amazingly accurate models of the Monster Manual creatures and provided by Commercial Licence.

In *Dungeons & Dragons*, a Stalfos is typically portrayed as a skeletal undead warrior, inspired by creatures from myth and popular media. While not an official D&D monster, it closely resembles a "skeleton" or "wight" in most editions. Stalfos are often depicted as reanimated warriors bound by necromantic magic to guard tombs, dungeons, or serve dark masters.

They are formidable due to their skill in combat, often wielding swords and shields, making them more dangerous than typical undead. Unlike ordinary skeletons, which are mindless and driven by simple commands, Stalfos may retain some intelligence, tactics, and combat experience, though still under the control of their summoner or cursed by undeath. Their appearance is distinctive, with bony frames adorned in remnants of armor or ancient gear, symbolizing their past as once-living soldiers or knights.

In a campaign, Stalfos encounters often serve as thematic enemies in crypts or ancient ruins. They may appear in groups, using their martial prowess to challenge adventurers, especially in a setting involving dark magic or necromancy. In some homebrew interpretations or in lore borrowed from other media, a Stalfos may also be able to regenerate or reassemble itself after being destroyed, adding another layer of challenge to battles.

While "Stalfos" may not be a term found in the official D&D bestiaries, its essence can be captured using existing undead monsters, making it a versatile and thematic addition to many campaigns.
