The Tiyanak typically preys on the unwary, using its baby-like cries to draw victims to isolated locations where it can attack with vicious precision.

The Tiyanak is often depicted as having the ability to shift between its innocent form and a more monstrous appearance. In its true form, it might have distorted features, sharp claws, and an otherworldly aura that emphasizes its undead origins. This duality not only plays into the creature’s deceptive abilities but also serves as a thematic embodiment of loss and rage, with its origins tied to tragic deaths of infants or unborn children.
