This is a Highly detailed miniature of a Twig Blight for Dungeons & Dragons.

This model was created by Schlossbauer who makes amazingly accurate models of the Monster Manual creatures and provided by Commercial Licence.

In Dungeons & Dragons, a Twig Blight is a malevolent, plant-like creature that typically emerges from forests or overgrown areas corrupted by dark magic. Standing around three feet tall, these creatures resemble twisted, animated shrubs or small trees, blending seamlessly with their natural surroundings until they move or attack. Their bodies are composed of gnarled, thorny branches, and they often exude an eerie, almost palpable aura of malevolence.

Twig Blights originate from the seeds of the Gulthias Tree, a tree corrupted by the blood of a vampire, which gives rise to various forms of blighted creatures. These seeds, when planted and nurtured, sprout into Twig Blights. The transformation involves an infusion of dark magic that animates the plant, endowing it with a sinister semblance of life.

Although small and not particularly robust, Twig Blights are dangerous due to their ability to ambush unsuspecting adventurers. They remain motionless, resembling ordinary underbrush, until they are ready to strike, often surprising their prey. When they do attack, they use their sharp, thorny limbs to inflict piercing damage. Additionally, their attacks can occasionally transmit a blight-like infection that saps the vitality of their victims.

In terms of behavior, Twig Blights exhibit a cunning, predatory intelligence. They often act in concert with other Twig Blights or more powerful blighted creatures, using their natural camouflage to set up ambushes and traps. Despite their plant-based nature, they have a malevolent awareness and can follow simple commands, usually given by more dominant blighted entities or by the dark forces controlling the area.

Encountering Twig Blights typically signifies a greater underlying threat, often tied to the presence of a Gulthias Tree or another source of dark, corrupting magic. Their presence in a forest or a garden can indicate the spread of this malevolence, posing a significant challenge to adventurers seeking to purify the land.
