This is a Highly detailed miniature of a Wurm for Dungeons & Dragons.

This model was created by Schlossbauer who makes amazingly accurate models of the Monster Manual creatures and provided by Commercial Licence.

In Dungeons & Dragons, a Wurm is a term used to describe a large, serpentine dragon or dragon-like creature. Wurms are often depicted as massive, powerful, and ancient beings, embodying the primal and elemental forces of the world. Unlike traditional dragons, which have a more classic and recognizable dragon form with legs, wings, and a distinct draconic shape, Wurms are more serpentine in appearance, often lacking wings and sometimes legs. Their elongated, snake-like bodies give them a more sinister and alien presence.

Wurms are typically associated with elemental forces, such as earth, water, or even fire, and they often dwell in environments that reflect these elements. For example, an earth wurm might be found deep underground or within mountain ranges, while a water wurm could inhabit deep lakes or ocean trenches. Their behavior and abilities are closely tied to their elemental nature, granting them unique powers that can be formidable for adventurers to face.

In the lore of Dungeons & Dragons, Wurms are ancient and wise, often possessing vast knowledge and magical prowess. They can serve as powerful adversaries or mysterious allies, depending on their motivations and alignment. The presence of a Wurm in a campaign typically signifies a significant and challenging encounter, as these creatures are not only physically imposing but also highly intelligent and often capable of casting potent spells.

Wurms enrich the mythos of Dungeons & Dragons by adding a layer of depth to the traditional dragon archetype, providing Dungeon Masters with versatile and fearsome creatures to challenge their players. Their integration into various settings and stories enhances the rich tapestry of the game's fantasy world, offering endless possibilities for adventure and intrigue.
