This is a Highly detailed miniature of a Zombie Dragon for Dungeons & Dragons.

This model was created by Schlossbauer who makes amazingly accurate models of the Monster Manual creatures and provided by Commercial Licence.

In Dungeons & Dragons, a Zombie Dragon is a terrifying undead creature born from the unholy union of two potent forces: the ancient power of dragons and the relentless, corrupting influence of necromancy. These creatures are a grim testament to the dark arts, combining the fearsome physicality and magical prowess of dragons with the relentless, undying nature of zombies.

A Zombie Dragon typically retains much of its original draconic form, though it is marred by decay and infused with the foul energies of undeath. Its scales, once gleaming and vibrant, are now tarnished and rotting, emitting a sickly odor of decay. Tattered remnants of wings still bear the skeletal framework needed for flight, driven not by life but by an unnatural, supernatural force.

In battle, a Zombie Dragon is a formidable foe. It retains the elemental breath weapon typical of its living kin, unleashing blasts of acid, fire, lightning, or other energies depending on its original type. However, these attacks are often warped and twisted, carrying an aura of death and decay that can sear the living and corrode the strongest armor.

What sets a Zombie Dragon apart from its living counterparts is its resilience. Unaffected by many conventional methods of dragon slaying, such as poisons or exhaustion, it shrugs off damage that would cripple lesser creatures. Only powerful magic, holy weapons, or specialized necromantic knowledge can hope to permanently banish its unholy presence.

Encounters with a Zombie Dragon are rare and ominous events, often heralding great calamity or the intervention of dark powers. Whether as guardians of necromantic lairs or as instruments of sinister plots, these undead monstrosities serve as chilling reminders of the depths to which magic can descend in the Dungeons & Dragons universe.
