This is a highly detailed miniature of an Abyss Healer.

This model was created by Crossel who makes amazingly accurate models of the Monster Manual creatures and provided by kind permission.

An Abyss Healer in Dungeons & Dragons is a darkly paradoxical divine or occult practitioner who channels restorative power drawn not from celestial radiance or natural harmony, but from the churning entropy of the Abyss. Unlike a conventional cleric who serves a benevolent deity, or a druid who draws upon primal balance, the Abyss Healer siphons vitality through pacts with fiends, demonic patrons, or corrupted planar forces. Their magic does not “heal” in the gentle sense; rather, it coerces flesh and spirit back into function through invasive, volatile energies that feel alien and unsettling to the recipient.

In cosmological terms, the Abyss is the chaotic evil plane of demons, a realm of infinite layers defined by mutation, brutality, and unrestrained appetite. An Abyss Healer may derive their power from entities such as a demon lord—perhaps one akin to Orcus or Zuggtmoy—or from direct exposure to abyssal corruption. Mechanically, such a character is often represented by a cleric with a Death, Grave, or Twilight domain, a warlock with a Fiend patron, or even a multiclass combination reflecting both divine and infernal influence. Their spell list might include traditional restorative magic like cure wounds or revivify, but flavored as flesh knitting together through writhing shadows, bone reassembling under demonic whispers, or necrotic energy forced into regenerative alignment.

Narratively, the Abyss Healer occupies morally ambiguous ground. They may believe that survival justifies any source of power, or that only by mastering corruption can one combat it. Allies may tolerate their presence out of necessity, though unease often follows in their wake. Their healing might leave faint scars shaped like abyssal sigils, or carry lingering side effects—brief madness, intrusive thoughts, or the scent of brimstone. In a campaign, an Abyss Healer introduces thematic tension, exploring whether redemption can coexist with damnation, and whether power born of chaos can truly sustain life without exacting a price.

This model is 37.45mm tall at 32mm scale.
