This is a highly detailed miniature of a Bandit Female.

This model was created by MZ4250 who makes amazingly accurate models of the Monster Manual creatures and provided by Commercial License.

In Dungeons & Dragons, a female bandit is a non-player character (NPC) representing one of the countless roving criminals who survive outside the boundaries of law and civilization. These characters are not fundamentally different from their male counterparts in game mechanics, but they offer a unique narrative and roleplaying dimension when portrayed with gender-specific traits, roles, or backstories, depending on the campaign setting. Bandits, regardless of gender, typically embody lawlessness, opportunism, and often desperation, living on the fringes of society and preying on the weak, the unguarded, and the wealthy.

A female bandit might be portrayed as the leader of a gang or as a lone rogue operating in the wilderness, urban slums, or near trade routes. Her background could range from a peasant-turned-outlaw to a disgraced noblewoman, a former soldier, or a charismatic rebel. Unlike more monstrous foes, bandits are grounded in the mortal world and shaped by its politics, economies, and injustices. This allows Dungeon Masters to explore morally grey territory through characters like her—someone who may have turned to crime not out of evil, but out of necessity or vengeance.

Mechanically, a female bandit typically uses the standard Bandit stat block from the Monster Manual, with an Armor Class of 12 (leather armor), 11 hit points, and armed with a scimitar or light crossbow. However, the real interest in such a character comes from how she is written and played. A female bandit might use charm, cunning, and agility as much as brute strength. She may be more than a simple obstacle—perhaps she offers a deal, holds important information, or reveals a more nuanced motivation behind her actions.

In many campaigns, the inclusion of bandits—especially recurring ones with depth—serves as a mirror to the adventurers’ own choices. A female bandit may be a minor enemy, a reluctant ally, or even a shadow of what the heroes might have become under different circumstances.
