This is a Highly detailed miniature of a Cinder Rat for Dungeons & Dragons.

This model was created by Schlossbauer who makes amazingly accurate models of the Monster Manual creatures and provided by Commercial Licence.

In Dungeons & Dragons (D&D), a Cinder Rat is a creature typically found in environments associated with fire or volcanic activity. These small, rodent-like creatures are adapted to survive in extreme heat and are often encountered in dungeons, caverns, or other underground locations where fire-based hazards are present.

Physically, Cinder Rats resemble ordinary rats but with a few distinct features. Their fur is often charred or singed, giving them a blackened appearance, which provides camouflage in their fiery habitats. Their eyes are fiery red, glowing with an inner heat, and their tails may have small flames flickering at their tips.

Cinder Rats possess an innate resistance to fire and heat, allowing them to thrive in environments where other creatures would perish. They are opportunistic scavengers, feeding on scraps of burnt vegetation, charred remains, and even small creatures that succumb to the heat.

In terms of behavior, Cinder Rats are skittish and tend to avoid confrontation unless provoked or hungry. However, they can become aggressive if they feel threatened or if their territory is encroached upon. They may attack intruders using their sharp teeth and claws, often working in packs to overwhelm larger foes.

Despite their small size, Cinder Rats can pose a threat to adventurers, especially if they are caught off guard or outnumbered. Additionally, their ability to navigate through fiery environments with ease makes them adept at ambushing unsuspecting travelers.

In D&D campaigns, Cinder Rats can serve as low-level adversaries or elements of environmental hazards, adding an extra layer of challenge to encounters set in volcanic regions or fiery dungeons. They can also be utilized creatively by dungeon masters to enhance the atmosphere and tension of the game, providing players with memorable and exciting encounters in the depths of the earth's fiery embrace.
