A Crawling Claw is a macabre undead creature created through dark necromantic rituals, consisting of nothing more than a severed humanoid hand animated by malevolent magic. Though small in stature, these unsettling horrors are often employed as spies, assassins, messengers, or guardians by evil wizards, liches, and cultists. A Crawling Claw retains an eerie semblance of life, moving with unsettling speed and purpose as it obeys the commands of its creator without hesitation or remorse.

At first glance, a Crawling Claw appears to be an ordinary severed hand, but closer inspection reveals its unnatural nature. The flesh may be withered and grey, blackened with decay, or unnaturally well-preserved by dark enchantments. Long, dirty fingernails or razor-sharp claws extend from each finger, while black veins pulse faintly with necrotic energy beneath the skin. Some bear ancient runes burned into the palm, jewellery from their former owner, or fragments of armour still attached to the wrist.
