This is a Highly detailed miniature of a Swarm of Crawling Claws for Dungeons & Dragons.

This model was created by MZ4250 who makes amazingly accurate models of the Monster Manual creatures and provided by Commercial License.

A Swarm of Crawling Claws is a nightmarish mass of animated severed hands brought to unholy life through powerful necromancy. Rather than a single undead servant, this horrifying creature consists of dozens—or even hundreds—of Crawling Claws moving together with terrifying coordination. Often created by liches, death priests, or deranged necromancers, these swarms are unleashed to overwhelm intruders, defend forbidden crypts, or spread terror through haunted ruins. Individually weak but collectively relentless, they embody the chilling truth that even the smallest horrors become deadly in overwhelming numbers.

At first glance, a Swarm of Crawling Claws resembles a writhing carpet of pale, skeletal, or decaying hands. Fingers constantly twitch and flex as the mass scuttles across floors, climbs walls, and pours through cracks with insect-like speed. Some hands are little more than bleached bones, while others retain shrivelled flesh, rusted rings, broken manacles, or fragments of armour from their former owners. Black necrotic energy crackles between the grasping fingers, binding the countless claws into a single horrifying entity.

The swarm attacks by engulfing its victims beneath a tide of grasping hands. Dozens of claws latch onto armour, clothing, weapons, and exposed flesh, scratching, tearing, and dragging creatures to the ground. Others claw at faces, cover mouths, pull hair, or attempt to pry weapons from helpless hands. Victims often find themselves buried beneath the writhing mass as relentless fingers crawl over every part of their bodies, making escape both physically exhausting and psychologically terrifying.

Unlike a single Crawling Claw, the swarm is difficult to stop through conventional attacks. Destroying a handful of hands does little to slow its advance, as the remaining claws continue to surge forward. Area-of-effect spells, radiant magic, and powerful bursts of force are often the most effective means of breaking apart the undead mass before it can overwhelm its prey.

A Swarm of Crawling Claws never speaks or hesitates. Guided by dark magic or the will of its creator, it relentlessly pursues any living creature that enters its territory. In a Dungeons & Dragons campaign, it serves as a uniquely unsettling undead encounter, transforming ordinary crypts, abandoned mansions, and forgotten laboratories into places of pure horror, where every shadow may conceal a tide of grasping, animated hands eager to drag the living into darkness.

This model is 9.58mm tall at 32mm scale.
