It’s typically envisioned as a small, strange, and possibly magical hybrid creature, combining the traits of a feline, a lizard, and a flying animal—often resembling a cat with scales and wings, or a lizard with fur and feline features. The result is usually a bizarre but oddly endearing beast, sometimes used as a familiar, minor magical creature, or comic relief.

Flying Cat Lizards are often described as being about the size of a housecat, with membranous wings like those of a bat or dragon.
