This is a highly detailed miniature of an Orc.

This model was created by Crossel who makes amazingly accurate models of the Monster Manual creatures and provided by kind permission.

An Orc in Dungeons & Dragons is a formidable humanoid defined by raw strength, fierce tribal loyalty, and an ingrained culture of conquest or survival, depending on the setting. Broad-shouldered and thick-limbed, orcs possess jutting lower tusks, heavy brows, and powerful physiques built for relentless combat. Their presence is imposing; even at rest, they carry the tension of coiled aggression, as though battle is never far from their thoughts.

Traditionally associated with warbands, raiding clans, and harsh frontier lands, orcs often organize themselves under dominant chieftains or powerful shamans. Strength determines status, and victory in combat earns honor and authority. In many worlds, they revere deities of war and destruction, such as Gruumsh, whose doctrine emphasizes dominance and expansion. However, modern interpretations increasingly portray orcs with greater nuance, presenting them as complex societies shaped by environment, history, and external prejudice rather than innate evil.

Mechanically, orcs are characterized by high Strength and Constitution, proficiency with martial weapons, and aggressive combat traits. Many stat blocks include an ability such as Aggressive, allowing them to move swiftly toward enemies as a bonus action, reflecting their relentless fighting style. Orc warriors favor greataxes, heavy blades, and brutal melee tactics designed to overwhelm opponents through momentum and intimidation.

Despite their fearsome reputation, not all orcs are marauders. Some break from traditional war culture to become mercenaries, adventurers, or even community leaders in multicultural cities. Their resilience, endurance, and direct worldview can make them steadfast allies once trust is earned.

On the battlefield, an orc is a force of impact and fury, charging headlong into danger with a roar that shakes morale. Whether cast as villain, antihero, or proud tribal defender, the orc remains one of the most iconic embodiments of martial ferocity in Dungeons & Dragons.

This model is 43mm tall at 32mm scale.
