A Zombie Bulette in Dungeons & Dragons is an undead version of the formidable land shark known as the bulette, a creature already infamous for its terrifying ability to erupt from the ground and tear through enemies with brutal force. When reanimated through necromantic magic, the bulette loses its keen instincts, intelligence, and speed, but retains its immense physical presence and durability, making it a nightmarish tool for necromancers or death-aligned powers.

In life, a bulette is a monstrous predator—muscular, armored, and agile, capable of leaping great distances and burrowing through soil to ambush prey from below. Once it becomes undead, however, the zombie bulette is stripped of its cunning and replaced by mindless obedience. It becomes slower and less reactive, but it still charges with massive strength, driven solely by its controller’s commands or an insatiable hunger for the living. Its once-pristine armored plates may now be cracked or rotting, and its movements are more sluggish and unnatural, but its physical toughness remains largely intact, bolstered by undead resilience. Its presence typically signals that something or someone has access to high-level necromantic magic, often hinting at deeper dangers ahead.
