This is a Highly detailed miniature of a Zombie Chicken for Dungeons & Dragons.

This model was created by Schlossbauer who makes amazingly accurate models of the Monster Manual creatures and provided by Commercial Licence.

In Dungeons & Dragons, a headless zombie chicken is a bizarre yet whimsical creature that blends horror with absurdity. It exists as a result of dark necromantic experiments or the unpredictable effects of magical mishaps. Imagine a diminutive, feathered corpse, roughly the size of a large domestic chicken, with patches of decaying flesh and missing its entire head. Despite lacking a brain or conventional senses, it moves with an eerie semblance of life, driven by residual necromantic energy.

These creatures are often encountered in forgotten laboratories, abandoned wizard towers, or as companions to eccentric necromancers. Their origins may vary: some are failed experiments in reanimating small creatures, while others are the unintended consequences of spells gone awry. In combat, a headless zombie chicken attacks mindlessly, pecking and clawing with surprising agility given its undead nature. Though individually weak, they can overwhelm unwary adventurers through sheer numbers or by catching them off-guard.

Headless zombie chickens exhibit peculiar behaviors, such as aimlessly wandering until disturbed or responding to stimuli based on residual instincts from their former lives. They emit eerie, erratic clucking noises that add to the unsettling atmosphere of encounters involving them. Despite their grotesque appearance, they are rarely malevolent and instead pose more of a nuisance than a serious threat to seasoned adventurers. Nevertheless, their presence often hints at darker forces at work nearby.

Encounters with headless zombie chickens can provide moments of dark humor or serve as eerie reminders of the perils of tampering with necromantic forces. They are a testament to the creative and often unpredictable nature of magic in Dungeons & Dragons, adding a touch of the bizarre to any campaign world.
