This is a Highly detailed miniature of a Zombie for Dungeons & Dragons.

This model was created by Schlossbauer who makes amazingly accurate models of the Monster Manual creatures and provided by Commercial Licence.

In Dungeons & Dragons (D&D), a Zombie is a classic undead creature reanimated through dark magic or necromantic rituals. These creatures are corpses brought back to a twisted semblance of life, their bodies decaying yet animated by an unholy force. Typically created and controlled by necromancers, zombies serve their masters obediently, lacking any trace of their former selves.

Physically, zombies appear as corpses with rotting flesh, often emitting a foul odor of decay. Their movements are slow and clumsy, reflecting their deteriorated state, but they possess a relentless determination in pursuing their prey. Despite their diminished intellect and lack of strategy, zombies can overwhelm opponents through sheer numbers or surprise attacks.

In combat, zombies rely on their strength and durability rather than tactical finesse. They attack by clawing or biting with a mindless aggression, driven purely by the instinct to feed or follow orders. Their necromantic origins grant them resistance to many mundane weapons and the ability to endure significant damage before being destroyed.

Encountering zombies in D&D campaigns often signifies the presence of a necromancer or a site tainted by necromantic energies. They are commonly found in graveyards, ancient crypts, or areas touched by death and dark magic. Adventurers must be wary of their infectious bites, which can spread undeath to those unfortunate enough to succumb.

To overcome zombies, adventurers typically exploit their slow speed and lack of intelligence. Fire, radiant energy, and spells that target undead can be particularly effective. Destroying the necromancer controlling them can also halt their relentless advance, freeing areas from their haunting presence until another dark ritual or source of necromantic power brings them back to life.
